They do last a long time though **Q: The filter cartridges are expensive and only seem to last for a couple of weeks before the replacement light comes on. Can I use iron without cartridg** A: Personally I wouldn’t as they prevent the boiler from scaling up. I do agree they are too expensive. I get about 3 months out of one use. It can be a costly exercise but it will give your iron years of ironing.
