They deliver essential nutrients, trace elements, and minerals directly to plant roots via a slow-release blue clay formula, promoting strong root development and vibrant blooms. Each pack contains 50 balls, enough to fertilise 0.5m² of pond base or two plant baskets, with feeding recommended every 6-8 weeks from March to August for optimal growth. ## Description Product description Feed your water lilies where it counts Water lilies and marsh plants take most of their food through their roots. Velda Growth Balls put the nutrients right there. Each ball is made from blue clay with nutrients, trace elements and minerals, and releases them slowly into the soil around the roots, giving lush growth and strong flowering. How to use Push the growth balls into the pond soil close to the plant roots. For new plantings, add them when you fill the basket. For established plants, press them in beside the crown. When to feed Plants grow from March to August. Feed every 6 to 8 weeks through that period. How far a pack goes One pack holds about 50 balls (185 g), enough for around 0.5 sq m of planted pond bottom or 2 plant baskets. Good to know Always plant pond plants in special pond soil, not garden soil, which is too rich and can cloud the water. Velda Pond Soil and Velda planting baskets work well alongside the growth balls. Directions Push the fertiliser ball into the soil at the plant root. P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); Safety Warning Use appropriate protective equipment, store in a cool, dry place away from children and pets, rinse affected area with water in case of accidental exposure, and seek medical advice if necessary. One pack of about 50 balls does 0.5 sq m of pond bottom or 2 plant baskets - USE WITH POND SOIL - Plant in special pond soil rather than garden soil, then push the balls in near the roots. Pairs well with Velda Pond Soil - SLOW RELEASE BLUE CLAY - Made from blue clay that releases nutrients steadily over 6 to 8 weeks, so plants are fed between top-ups ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0039TE5WS | | Application Method | Place ball near plant roots | | Best Sellers Rank | 8,591 in Garden ( See Top 100 in Garden ) 3 in Water Plant Fertilisers | | Brand | velda | | Country of Origin | Netherlands | | Coverage | Garden ponds, water lilies and marsh plants | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (605) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 08711921060340 | | Item Form | Balls | | Item Highlight | Aquatic Fertiliser Tablets, Water Lily Food, Slow Release Root Feed, for Marsh and Marginal Plants, Blue Clay Balls | | Item Weight | 130 Grams | | Manufacturer | Velda | | Mixing Ratio | 20-20-20 | | Model Number | 46507731812701 | | Number of Items | 50 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | 122250 | | Specific Uses For Product | Garden pond fertilization | | Target Species | Pond Plants | | Unit Count | 185.0 gram | ## Product Details - **Brand:** velda - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 08711921060340 - **Item form:** Balls - **Item weight:** 130 Grams - **Specific uses for product:** Garden pond fertilization ## Images ![Velda Growth Balls x50, Water Lily Fertiliser Tablets & Pond Plant Food - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41iD3Ydcb6L.jpg) ![Velda Growth Balls x50, Water Lily Fertiliser Tablets & Pond Plant Food - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51rbn6XB5WL.jpg) ![Velda Growth Balls x50, Water Lily Fertiliser Tablets & Pond Plant Food - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51ii+SIf9CL.jpg) ![Velda Growth Balls x50, Water Lily Fertiliser Tablets & Pond Plant Food - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41LGswj7ybL.jpg) ![Velda Growth Balls x50, Water Lily Fertiliser Tablets & Pond Plant Food - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51GSVIWtnBL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/49002368-velda-growth-balls-x50-water-lily-fertiliser-tablets-and-pond](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/49002368-velda-growth-balls-x50-water-lily-fertiliser-tablets-and-pond) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
