After some research, I.e., YouTube it looked like a 7 wood may be the way to go. Not wanting to spend hundreds on a club, I picked the $30 Warrior Senior Flex shaft from Rock Bottom Golf. First time I needed it was on a longish par 4, in light rough after a decent drive 190 to go Normally expect 2 shots to the green. I used the 7 wood and boom, a little right, but it ended up pin high on the green. Amazing for me. Hitting it not so well out of deeper rough gave me a straight 130. Not terrible for a miss hit. My son in law, an excellent golfer hit it 250. He swings a lot faster than me. So if you are thinking about a 7 wood, give this a try. I’m in my mid 60’s now and wanted to increase distance and lower mis-hits. This 7 wood club does both. I hit it straighter, higher and further than my 5 iron and with fewer bad shots with same distance as my 5 wood (about 200 yds). Inexpensive and a good club in your bag.
