Anyway, I decided to keep it as I like the watch and it fits perfectly now after having a couple of links removed. However, future buyers may be interested to know that I found it difficult to find an outlet that would attempt the job due to the complexity of the links - two declined. One jeweler wanted to charge me £20 (free if you buy the watch from them). Timpsons did the alteration and charged £12 but the advice about bracelet adjustment was missing from the description. On balance, I found it better to pay for the adjustment as the watch was a reasonable price and it was less hassle than paying to return it and finding an alternative elsewhere.
