Product Description The CalMag Magnetic Scale Inhibitor is suitable for installation on cold water lines for the prevention of limescale formation. The unit is supplied with 15mm compression fittings and can also be adapted for use with pushfit fittings. Box Contains 1 x Calmag 15 mm

Review: Appears to work. - I previously had a budget chemical limescale filter (still much more expensive than this item) which eventually was left for too long and clogged up, and so did the pipe connecting the filter and the electric shower. I was highly skeptical about the mechanism behind the magnetic limescale protection. Supposedly, the limescale is not removed but stays suspended in water, so it just does not stick to the pipes. However, I decided to buy this anyway as it fitted the gap left by the filter and was quite cheap. Few months on, the electric shower seems fine and even the shower head does not clog up as much.
Review: Good Product - Bought this item as a replacement for one which didn't appear to be working.Very easy to fit. Extremely good price compared to others. Can't comment on whether it's doing a good job as the results are not visually apparent. Only time will tell and I must say this applies to all brands.

**Q: Can these compression fittings be used directly on pex piping?**
A: Yes, just use a pipe inserts.

**Q: I filter and drink the tap water. Does it change the taste?**
A: There is a slight change for the better I have found

A: I have mine in a couple of years and still seems to be working fine

**Q: Does this work please? I have seen so many mixed reviews for other similar products.**
A: Yes it works but people need to read instructions and carry out annual maintenance, ie.replacing as per instructions!!!
Any scale reducer will reduce any scale from causing damage to appliances relying on water!!
As a plumber/boiler technician I believe that we should all have a type of scale reducer on the mains on the mains entering the building,so it covers most or all water units/appliances…..!!!!!!

Time will tell if it makes a difference, but from experience, these do reduce limescale. Item was really easy to fit.
