Review: An excellent spatula. - It has a huge base that holds a large surface-area of food. The edge is reasonably thin, allowing you to get under most foods. I've used it to flip fish, pancakes, omelettes and dosas (thin Indian lentil crepes) with very, very few food breakages so far. I've also lifted hot cookies off baking sheets without any crumbling. I suspect, although I haven't tried it, that the silicone coating is too thick to slide under French crepes. In months of regular use, I've experienced absolutely no melting or warping. This might be linked to the fact that I don't ever keep my silicone gadgets just sitting inside hot pans. Your experience may or may not differ if you tend to leave your utensils inside pans on the heat for lengths of time. It should be noted that this item is not dishwasher-safe. The silicone surface WILL absorb the scent of your dishwashing liquid over the course of a wash-cycle. How do I know? Call it an experiment that didn't work out too well! Thankfully, after a few weeks of steady use and washing by hand, the lingering lemony scent of freshness is gone and we're back to normal. All in all, a great product. I'm actually tempted to buy one more and keep it in reserve in case this specific model gets discontinued.

It has a huge base that holds a large surface-area of food. The edge is reasonably thin, allowing you to get under most foods. I've used it to flip fish, pancakes, omelettes and dosas (thin Indian lentil crepes) with very, very few food breakages so far. I've also lifted hot cookies off baking sheets without any crumbling.
