They fitted the boots perfectly and took up the extra space really well. They cannot be cut down and also maintain the machined edging so make sure you click for the correct size. Immediately warmer than a straight insole, though I am not sure how long the pile will stay in a state to keep the warmth at this level, I will edit should it fail. The wool is soft as well as warm insulating very well. There are two pairs for this price making them excellent value and I think, a bargain.
