Review: This is amazing - as you would expect from kilner this is well made, this comes with a plastic tap which I changed straight away cos it's rubbish, for the stainless steel version and it Doesn't leak and has very good flow providing you open the lid while using. I would recommend this with the stainless steel tap as soon as you can. The tap was easy to fit and the glass jar looks great especially when full of 8 Liters of Pimms.

**Q: The tap has broken. There’s a weakness at the turning point on the tap as it’s brittle plastic. Can I get a replacement.**
A: Yes. Type in Amazon: kilner tap + volume (ex. 5L, 8L)

**Q: Is it heatproof ?**
A: I dont actually know but I would imagine Kilner jars are heatproof as they have to be cleaned with boiling water prior to using them to put jams and pickles in to sterilise them.

**Q: Is the tap metal or plastic?  For brewing kombucha - Tap (or at least the fixings inside of the jar) need to be plastic - so as not to ‘react’.**
A: From what I remember the tap is metal with a plastic join but of the 2 I ordered one arrived smashed and the other leaks, so utterly useless for anything! (A nightmare to get refunded/replaced too.)

as you would expect from kilner this is well made, this comes with a plastic tap which I changed straight away cos it's rubbish, for the stainless steel version and it Doesn't leak and has very good flow providing you open the lid while using. I would recommend this with the stainless steel tap as soon as you can. The tap was easy to fit and the glass jar looks great especially when full of 8 Liters of Pimms.

This jar is fantastic and holds so much water I use it for cooking and love it It’s sturdy but has cracked on me twice I was very disappointed as they are not cheap
