Review: Great feeling shifter - This shifter is excellent build quality, and meets the same high quality standards as every other Fanatec product that I've purchased under the Club Sport line. I already owned the Fanatec Club Sport Wheel 2.5 and the 3.0 pedals. I'm particularly pleased with how well everything works together. The shifter has a very solid feeling in sequential mode, you know that you shifted up or down. The 7 speed mode, is also great, it feels like driving a real manual transmission car. If you are on the fence, I'd say you should buy one if you can afford one. Someday I'll probably add the handbrake too.
Review: Calibrate it using Fanatec usb adapter's drive! - A fine product, gear selection feels good. Problem: 5th to 2nd gear jump(vice versa) is very frequent. With practice, the frequency may be reduced, but it may still happen. Because shift distance between 2nd and 5th might be a bit short, it is easy to slide to an undesired gear. The package came opened and arrived late, not functioning out of the box. For others having gear selection/gear registration issue, you can't calibrate it with windows control panel, you will have to go to fanatec's official website and download their USB adapter drive. This will fix everything.

**Q: why is this stuff so much more expensive on Amazon than direct from Fanatec? Even with shipping, it's still cheaper to order direct from Fanatec.**
A: It's more expensive because they have it available for prime, but pass the 2 day shipping cost on to the buyer. So it's advertised as free shipping via prime on Amazon but it includes the website cost of 2 day shipping. Kind of misleading but not a ripoff.

**Q: Is this the only shifter for fanatec forza motorsport racing wheel and pedals bundle for xbox one ?**
A: I believe it is...they may offer a sequential shifter.  Keep in mind the steering wheel has paddle shifters.  Unless you're using it for real car practice probably not necessary. Works with computer or Xbox.

**Q: Is it a must to purchase the table clamping?**
A: There are mounting holes to bolt it to a rig/wheel stand but otherwise to stabilize it you should get the table clamp.

**Q: Does it work with a thrustmaster wheel on ps4**
A: Hello, It does not work with a thrustmaster wheel. The ClubSport Shifter SQ can be used on gaming consoles in games that support shifters, if connected through a Fanatec Wheel Base / Racing Wheel. Thanks for your understanding.

This shifter is excellent build quality, and meets the same high quality standards as every other Fanatec product that I've purchased under the Club Sport line. I already owned the Fanatec Club Sport Wheel 2.5 and the 3.0 pedals. I'm particularly pleased with how well everything works together. ### ⭐ THREE BAD FANATEC SHIFTERS IN A ROW -- ALL HAD SERIOUS GEAR SELECTION AND CALIBRATION ISSUES - NOT USABLE !

THREE WERE BAD IN A ROW. GAVE UP ON THIS FANATEC SHIFTER FOR NOW. Although my other sequential and H-pattern shifters work fine, the Fanatac SQ 1.5's all had problems-- THREE IN A ROW, BACK TO BACK. The first one worked for about 20 minutes, then 6th gear failed. I read possible solutions online, but ripping the unit apart would void the warranty, so I decided to return and try another. Similar issue with the second, except two gears would not be recognized properly, and the shifter never worked. Third one had a different set of gears that were problematic, and could not be recognized at all. I am tech savvy, and have other brands of shifters that all work. Would not work on any sim software we have (iRacing, rFactor 2, Assetto Corsa, etcetera) I tried the CSS SQ 1.5 Fanatec since I was hoping to have a single shifter that provided a good solid feel (as it does) and the ability to quickly change between sequential and gated shifting. However, after three attempts it makes me think that Fanatec just needs better quality control and testing. Although I see plenty of people online who have had issues with this shifter, obviously some are shipped that work well. Fanatec just needs to increase their quality control, as well as procedures for testing and validating before shipping them. Shame, as the shifter obviously had a lot of solid design engineering go into it. BTW, I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM FANATEC, DESPITE LETTING THEM KNOW THAT WE ARE EVALUATING THEIR SHIFTER AS PART OF A SERIOUS NEWSPAPER ARTICLE. Maybe I will try one again in a year, although I imagine some other options from other companies will be out soon, given the growth rate of the sim and VR industry.
