Product Description It is well known that using the correct breastshield size is important for your pumping comfort and optimal milk supply. We include two 25 mm breast shields that will be more comfortable and suitable for the majority of breast feeding mothers using Medela breastpump. Other sizes are available from Maymom for purchase. Compared to Medela valve, our design of valve allows your precious milk to flow easier into the bottle. The pump in style replacement tubing set will fit Medela Pump in Style Original (sold before 2004) and Pump in Style Advanced Breastpump sold after July 2006. Maymom breastshields can be connected with Medela storage bottles and other standard-szied bottles like Gerber, Playtex and Ameda. They are 100% compatible with Medela valve and Medela membrane. Safety Warning This product contains small parts and it is not a toy. Keep it away from children.

Review: Works so well with Medela In Style Advanced Pump - Super easy to use, great quality and fit my Medela (Pump in Style Advanced). Pumps are super expensive, especially if you aren't sure you are really going to need/be able to successfully pump, or not. That all said, I had a cheap, single-side pump for my first daughter and it was not convenient/didn't work as well as just hand expressing. In come baby 2 and 3...I wanted to make sure I had a good pump (and thr band...get yourself the band that holds the pumps...) so I could give it a real shot. My sister actually gave me the mechanical part of this pump (literally just the motor in the knapsack) and I was able to buy these spare parts. If you can find a good used pump this way and replace the parts I think this is the way to go...reduce a bit of waste here and if you don't end up pumping (why did autocorrect change that to pimping? If you don't end up pimping like you thought...lol) like you thought you would, well at least you didn't break the bank on a $400 pump. Im not sure if my cup size matters here but I am a C-34 when nursing (regularly closer to a B-34). If you do find that pumping is for you, I found that purchasing an extra set of these was a great idea. That way I didn't have to stress about washing/drying/sterilizing right away. It's the little things that make life a touch easier:)

**Q: How do I know what size to buy? S, M+, L, XL**
A: We are the manufacturer of this product.First, measure the diameters of your nipples AFTER a pumping session.  If you don't know how to measure it, follow maymom.com/nippleruler to make yourself a nipple ruler.  Knowing these data, the general rules of thumb are that the inner diameter of the breast shield should be 1-2 millimeter larger than your nipple diameter.  If you measure nipple diameter BEFORE a pumping session, we can only estimate that the breastshield shield should be 2-5 mm larger.Example: the diameter of your nipple after a pumping session is 23 mm, then choose the M (24mm) or M+ (25mm) breasthields.  Furthermore, please also try the following check list to find the best one for you.      Center the nipple in the tunnel of the breastshield. Now begin pumping and check the following points:    Is your nipple moving freely in the tunnel?    Is none or only very little tissue of the areola being pulled into the tunnel of the breastshield?    Do you recognize gentle, rhythmic movements in the breast at each pump cycle?    Do you feel the breast emptying all over?    Is your nipple free of pain? With the above check list, a mother can easily assess whether she is using the right Breastshield size. All points should be "true", then you have the right size of breastshield.A correctly fitted breastshield prevents the milk ducts from being compressed, thus enabling an optimal emptying of the breast and maximum milk output when pumping. This helps mothers to maintain their milk production and supports lactation. It also prevents chaffing and tenderness of around the nipple area.

**Q: Does this accessory kit fit the pump in style original, bought in 2005?**
A: Yes, it will fit Pump in style, made in 2004.  If not, it also includes a set of extra tubing connectors that you can use to adapt to your machine.

**Q: Does it compatible with Medela Pump In Style Advanced Breastpump Starter Set-Model # 57081???**
A: Not sure what all the model numbers coordinate to.. I have the medela pump in style tote from WIC, the tan one, and these we're compatible.

**Q: I see that the product info says these pieces are steam sterilization safe, but is it also safe to boil them when sterilizing the parts?**
A: Absolutely. I boil mine every other day. I bought 2 sets so I have 4 breastshields and extra valves. I boil all for minimum 4 minutes, sometimes 6 or 8. No problems so far.

Super easy to use, great quality and fit my Medela (Pump in Style Advanced). Pumps are super expensive, especially if you aren't sure you are really going to need/be able to successfully pump, or not. That all said, I had a cheap, single-side pump for my first daughter and it was not convenient/didn't work as well as just hand expressing. In come baby 2 and 3...I wanted to make sure I had a good pump (and thr band...get yourself the band that holds the pumps...) so I could give it a real shot. My sister actually gave me the mechanical part of this pump (literally just the motor in the knapsack) and I was able to buy these spare parts.
