## Description

From the manufacturer Fungi Game contents 113 playing cards, 6 overview cards, 2 instructions (DE/EN) A tasty card game Fungi takes two players on a walk through a mushroom-rich forest. There they collect a wide range of mushroom varieties and prepare them over a homely campfire. Especially when the mushrooms are fried with butter or cider, tasty mushroom dishes are created. Prepared mushrooms bring points that decide the game at the end. Poisonous mushrooms and a hand card limit make mushroom hunting a challenge. Unusual theme and atmospheric depictions of nature 2 player game Entertaining card game

Review: Beautiful artwork, nice 2 player game - Beautiful artwork, just lovely design overall. The instructions are translated from German by a native German speaker, not a native English speaker, so the instructions are a bit wordy, but overall you'll get the idea. Perfect 30-50 minute 2 player game once you understand the rules
Review: Perfect filler game - Fungi is a really enjoyable card game that’s easy to pick up and play. I have Jaipur and Love Letter on my shelf, and it has a similar feel - simple rules, quick games, and enough strategy to keep things interesting without being overly complex. The mushroom theme has strangely proven quite popular with my wife.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this german published version really have the english manual? Also, is there german or english on the cards?**
A: My copy of Fungi came with English and German instructions. The playing cards mushroom names are in Latin. Excellent game

**Q: Does this coms with walking stick figure as well as the frying pan figure? instead of a paper token to represent those?**
A: Fungi sticks and pans are represented with cards.. However there are people that make pans and sticks on Etsy if you really want them however they add no difference to the playability of the game. I prefer the cards rather than fiddly tokens myself.

**Q: How does this compare to Jaipur? Are they different enough to keep them both?**
A: Yes definitely different. Both great games. My wife and I probably play this one more.

**Q: What size are the cards please**
A: Pretty standard size. A bit shorter than an iPhone 5 if you can imagine

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quick - Stratigic - Tactical - Fairly Simple - Great Replay value
*by S***Y on 6 June 2020*

This is a great card game that travels well and doesn't need a huge area to play. Set up takes a couple of minutes and depending on the order the cards play out , game time takes 15-30mins. Some times it flows and seems like a series of simple choices with a bit of stratagy , others games every descision feels like it could be a win or lose choice. But all games require thought, there is a lil luck but by and large you feel like its your good or bad play that will determin the out come. What makes this game different is that you get to see at least 8 of the cards that are in play that you or your opponent could pick up on thier go , and your decisions in the action phase effect what they with have to choose from in thier next couple of goes, and conversely they do to. Its a balance between what benefits you and what might benefit them and is it the risk / reward worth it. There is a great balance of collecting, building, and interaction, do you hold out for a bigger score, do you score low but often do you sabotage thier game! All rolled up in some of the most beautiful artwork and theming printed on good quality cards. Once you have learned it and how to play , it really only takes 5 mins to teach someone else. Simple ideas, lots of decisions per game, its not perfect but few games are. Alsoif you like 2 player card games that take a bit of planning and have good theming look out for Trambahn.
