I had a bad cyno outbreak after some long overdue tank maintenance. Within 2 weeks of usage the cyno is almost completely gone. My corals are very happy and even though I went full strength during the initial treatment my corals and fish had no negative reactions. Before I added the Eco balance I siphoned out half the sand in my tank and used regular hose water to clean it and remove all the detritus. I usually use RODI and I'm sure most of the cyno came from that rinse. The rest of the sand was stirred up and I siphoned off as much waste as I could find. Afterwards I added the siphoned sand back into the tank. and repeated the process of stirring and syphoning. I also did a 50% water change with RODI water. Review: Brought my Nitrates/Nitrites down in to 0 in 2 days - I bought API marine bacteria from PetSmart 2 weeks ago, and watched the NO2 levels remain very high. I had bought this before with great results, but I didn’t want to wait for shipping. I finally bought this, and it arrived this week. I just dumped the whole bottle (no fish in tank) and within 2 days the Nitrates went from 100mg/l to 0 and the nitrites went from 5mg/l to 0. Does your 125 litre tank have rock in it, which will reduce the litres. **Q: I received a bottle and it states it expires Aug 2020 does that mean the bacteria is likely dead already?** A: No. But may loose it’s full potential. **Q: will this remove green hair algae in a saltwater tank?** A: I'm not aware it would, but you could contact the company. I would test my water parameters, particularly phosphate.
