You'd need to use chemicals for killing the bacteria (safe for baby if not rinsed/cleaned properly? Then re-rinsing/cleaning defeats the object of sterilisation in the first place? I don't know, first I've heard of cold sterilisation and lack the knowledge.) Anyway, to answer your question, I would say it's safe to cold sterilise these as long as there are no air bubbles and are fully submerged.
