It recommended White Vinegar to remove the oxidation (it works, as I expect, as I was a chemist at one point) and ACF-50 to protect it from that point forwards. I used the ACF-50 on the entire bike - the matt black paintwork, the chrome, the black engine and exhausts and all the metal fittings. It gives a superb finish, even on the paintwork, much to my surprise. I’ve since used it on all the garden furniture, the metal parasols, etc. Everything looks almost new again. I didn’t have any problems with the pressure running out of the spray can as some others reported. I mostly sprayed it onto a microfibre cloth to apply it then buffed it off with another microfibre cloth. I’m very impressed with the finish. I left my bike out in a rainstorm this morning and water was beaded everywhere. When the sun came out and dried it up, there were virtually no marks on it. I use this stuff all the time as it stops rust in its tracks, prevents ingress of water and once sprayed on protects the bike for a few months before repeating the process.
