Review: Absolutely Works, Lowered Both AST & ALT Enzymes! - With the above average experience that comes from a many year odyssey in our American medical system (Ignore Ketama, as that's only my Summer residence!) and being treated by those mostly dim witted personel in that profession, and their litany of mistakes and just plain stupid screw ups, I finally picked up Hep C. Not only was I bitter over this, but it was preventing me from continuing the ongoing treatment I was going for to begin with, because of the elevated liver enzymes my blood tests revealed, I couldn't continue my regular medications! This continued for several months, with the levels only dropping a few points every couple of months, with some dietary improvement changes. Then, they wanted me to seek out this & that specialist when I decided to see what I could try on my own first, when I ran across LIV.52, and looked into some studies on that, and more importantly, what users were saying about it. Satisfied it was worth trying, I picked up some shortly before an upcoming blood test--VERY shortly. In fact, I had 17 days until my next test,by the time I received it, and did not expect any results that soon, and figured it would take until the next test around 30 days later, if no improvements were made. I started by taking 2 caps a day, as directed, for 7 days to see if I tolerated it okay, and that was fine, so I went up to 3 caps a day, for the 10 days prior to the test. (I read where others with elevated enzymes usually took 4 caps a day, since 2 caps is really just meant as a preventative dose for those that want to maintain a normal, toxic free liver, and don't have any elevated enzyme counts to begin with, and a disease free liver.) As I said, over several months my enzyme counts dropped a few points with each consecutive blood test, yet were still VERY high on the previous test, done on 2/2/09, with an AST level of 127 (Normal range is 14 to 48), and an ALT level of 150 (Normal range is 7 to 58), so you can see they were quite high. After 2 caps per day of LIV.52, for 7 days, then, 3 caps for 10 days, I had my blood pulled on 4/6/09, about 2 months after the previous test, and my AST level was 74, and my ALT level was 90, still higher than normal, but a vast improvement as you can see. There is NOTHING else to attribute this to but the LIV.52, so I'm a believer. Now, I'm back on my regular treatment path, and my next blood test won't be for 5 months, and I'll continue on the LIV.52, and I'll try to remember to update this with those results, which I hope and expect will be much better still, and quite possibly within the normal range. This was all my doing, and the bottom line is that you can ONLY count on yourself for what's right for you. Don't get me wrong, as a whole, the medical profession has made great strides, and there are some personel doing great things, but any 'discoveries' are huge team efforts usually, after years of research and millions or billions of dollars spent, and the great doctors & surgeons you hear of are few and far between, leaving most no more competent than your average moron, or worse. Still don't believe me? Well, believe this: The forth leading cause of death in the United States is from medical mistakes. Yes, you heard it right, look it up, then, say they aren't "morons"! I believe the last count has it at 249 people a day, dead from medical "MISTAKES", think about it, then, take care of yourself, you'll live longer. And, if you have high liver enzymes, LIV.52 works, it's not one of the many worthless herbal preps out there. **Q: How to take this product in combination w/Milk Thistle?**
A: When I have had to detox my liver I have always taken a blend of several different products dispersed throughout the day.  If the issue is truly bad I take twice the recommended does.  For example, take this one in the am, a Milk Thistle at lunch, take this one for supper, and then a milk thistle for bedtime.  If you only want/need to take one do one in the am and the Milk Thistle at supper.  I hope this helps.

**Q: Why isnt there milk thistle in here? I thought that was a key supplement for liver support?**
A: Coming from a clinical nutritionist and herbalist, Milk Thistle is a great liver support herb, but it is more of a protective shield for the liver, a gatekeeper, so to speak. The Ayurvedic herbs in Liver Care are designed to cleanse and restore the liver. Protective herbs can be added once cleansing has been accomplished. Different herbalists ,or practitioners, may disagree according to their own experience and education.

**Q: What is the expiration now?**
A: You can expect 18-24 months shelf life.

**Q: Why are some of the ingredients on the ingredient section written twice? Is that a typo or was there double to portion used?**
A: If you’ll look toward the end of the ingredient listing, you’ll see a symbol denoting the extracts that are used, in addition to the powdered herbs. If it appears we are duplicating ingredient callouts, you’ll see we are actually stating that we use chicory seed and chicory seed extract, caper bush root and caper bush root extract, etc. It may appear to be a simple typo or duplication at quick glance, but if you give the circular footnote symbol a closer look, you’ll see we’re actually pointing out both the powder and the extract forms of the plant.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ LIV.52 is Keeping Me Alive -- ESSENTIAL PRODUCT For Combatting HEP C

I strongly believe LIV.52 is keeping me alive. My recent liver biopsy proves it. In the year 2000, I was diagnosed with the worst genotype of Hep C (1a). I was told there was no cure for 1a...and that the Hep C would kill my liver over the next 12 to 15 years. I started using LIV.52 in 2005. Last year a cure -- Harvoni -- for Hep C 1a was finally produced. My health insurance required a liver biopsy as part of the approval process to cover the high cost of Harvoni treatment. My GI doctor and I expected a horrible result from the liver biopsy. Like, I caught Hep C in the 1990s from a bad blood transfusion. After over 20 years of Hep C, my liver should be near shot. He said I should be at late Stage 3 (and Stage 4 is curtains). Well, both of us were dumbfounded by the actual results. My liver biopsy showed the Hep C's damage was not severe yet. My doctor pegged me at early Stage 2 (which gave my insurance company an excuse to NOT approve the Harvoni treatment -- I hate ObamaCare). I attribute the good results to my daily consumption of SIX Liv 52 pills (as well as not drinking alcohol, a good diet, and moderate exercise). Additionally, I KNOW I feel better by using LIV.52 than by not using it. How so? Once in awhile, I run out of LIV.52...and then slack off on buying more. IF I GO TWO WEEKS WITHOUT LIV.52, I feel unwell....as if the Hep C symptoms are more pronounced. But when I return to taking Liv.52, I slowly but steadily begin to feel better.
