Similar in texture to felt or microfiber, this proprietary material was developed exclusively by the Wycliffe Brothers, satisfying the two most important criteria for a backgammon playing surface: 1) the checkers glide effortlessly on a luxurious and perfectly smooth field, and 2) the playing surface offers the perfect amount of friction to ensure your checkers remain in place if the board is bumped or moved.New to the Generation III series are the phenomenal marbleized checkers, so highly polished you'll find yourself transfixed by their beauty. Just shy of 1/2" thickness (11mm), these oversized checkers significantly reduce the instances of cocked dice, so you spend more time on game play rather than re-rolling your dice. Review: Stunning! - This is a stunning set - can't fault it. The case is solid - all the corners reinforced & the clasps are tight. The playing surface is quiet & completely smooth - nothing to stop the counters moving easily. The green, white & black interior is easy on the eye & the contrast is good in low light levels. Delivery was on time & packaging was excellent. Just wish it was improving my luck!
Review: A beautiful top quality well made board. - Received the board within three days and it was well packaged. The case is very sturdy, well manufactured and feels robust. The board itself is top quality. A very smooth surface that the chequers slide across with ease. It looks exactly as it does in the pictures with the colouring. The checkers are about 45mm and have a slight marbling affect to them and a joy to play with. Finger dished on both sides. This really is a top quality board and I don’t think you will find better for the same price. There were a couple of spacers for the checker stacking missing, so I messaged them, and had a response within a couple of hours saying they will send them out to me.

This is a stunning set - can't fault it. The case is solid - all the corners reinforced & the clasps are tight. The playing surface is quiet & completely smooth - nothing to stop the counters moving easily. The green, white & black interior is easy on the eye & the contrast is good in low light levels. Delivery was on time & packaging was excellent. Just wish it was improving my luck!
