It would be Okey **Q: Is it ok to use boiling water in it** A: I wouldn't advise it. I used it for that purpose and all the markings came off after a while. It doesn't say in the description, which is a bit of a bloomer, that it measures flour, which is the most important one as far as I'm concerned. It also measures, rice, ground almonds, grated cheese, custard powder,dried fruit etc American as well as English cups and fluids. It's about the same size as a drinking tumbler but made of thicker glass and is microwave safe. The first time of using it was for making bread, the flour and fluid were measured using this glass which was a good test of it's accuracy for me and the bread turned out very well indeed. I'm really pleased with this little gizmo and the bonus is it only taking a quick wash and dry and doesn't take up much space in the cupboard.
