Review: Sweet cap gun! - This is a really nice cowboy pistol! Great price and a quality gun. All metal except for the grips, and the caps are very loud. Although it is a twelve-shot, just sever an eight-shot ring and use half of another one. Walmart carries the eight-shot rings and they are 2.88 for 216 shots (27 rings). It's a good size, a little large for a small 5 year old, but great for me (adult woman with medium sized hands). It's a break barrel, so easy to load. You can't go wrong with this gun! Gonher makes the best cap guns!!

A: Yes sir. Hammer pulls back, cylinder turns.it’s a very nice cap pistol

**Q: how long is the gun?**
A: The barrel length measured from the cylinder to the end of the red tip is five inches.  The length from the red tip to the end of the hammer is a smidge over eight inches. From the red tip to the back of the handle is about ten inches.

Great gun. Little boys could break plastic handle with rough play, but overall a good choice. My boys play rough outside, and this is our third gun like this because of the handles.
