MedAngel measures the temperature around it, so keep it as close as possible to your injection pen. Keeping them together in the same box is ideal! **Q: what are the implications of turning off location services? On Android BLE requires both Location and Bluetooth to be on to scan for Bluetooth Low Energy accessories like MedAngel (see the dev note here: https://android.jlelse.eu/android-bluetooth-low-energy-communication-simplified-d4fc67d3d26e). A decision Google is criticised for until today. On iPhones that is the way to keep the app active in the background, if you disable it then you will get no alerts if there is a temperature excursion and the app is not in the foreground. I have purchased three, one for my fridge, one for my insulin pen & one spare for using when I am storing or carrying insulin away from home. ### ⭐⭐ Don't bother *by L***S on 17 April 2020* Good concept, does not work well in practice. If this was manufactured better it could be a life saver, wouldn't recommend shelling out for this. Results inaccurate or device completely broken after a few weeks. ### ⭐ Doesn't work and bad customer service. *by A***R on 27 September 2019* Truly appalling customer care. The sensor worked for 3 weeks and then suddenly stopped working. I contacted the support team who replied with a suggestion, this didn't fix the problem, I followed up with 5 further emails asking for support, and and if I could send back the sensor so they could see if they could fix it. I received no response at all. I had hoped to purchase a second sensor following the initial success and piece of mind, so we could have one in the fridge and one for when we were out and about to ensure my sons insulin was always safe.
