Was great, helped me design good supply circuits and drainage considerations (elevation, air traps, sewerage) etc. all within regulations - and 12 months on I have had no leaks at all from my own work. (The heating installers work is a different story...) In summary: This book was absolutely perfect for somebody with DIY confidence and ability but their knowledge/skill isn't quite there. Would recommend it above any of the other myriad of plumbing books I bought at the same time. So the depth isn't great on any one topic, but there's enough here to let you avoid and prepare for emergencies and do the basics of fitting new taps etc. and gauge if you can take on a DIY job. The book is very clear that boilers must be left to the so-called 'professionals' who've paid their subs to Gas Safe.
