**Q: Does the internal handle lock from the outside (so it can't be opened from the outside through a broken window)?**
A: No. It has to be deadlocked from the inside using the key. The key can open it when deadlocked from the outside. I hope this helps.

**Q: Does anyone know if these night latches are left/right handed or are they universal?**
A: Hi, Melanie. They are universal. For right hand the nib button is above the latch and for left hand it would be below it. It would work equally well either way.Tony

**Q: If I block the handle with the key from inside and leave, another person inside can open it if he/she has a key, or is blocked inside?**
A: If you lock it from the inside, then no key means no escape

**Q: is there a version for door which opens autside? I have that lock in door which open outside and latch bolt is designed for door which open inside**

For a company known for it's high quality products - this excellent sturdy lock is badly let down by an inaccurate template. I had seen other reviews mention this, but chose to put my faith in Yale expecting they had corrected the problem. NOT SO - using the template, very accurately the holes were drilled. BUT I was shocked to find they did not line up ! I was forced to fill two of the holes with dowels, make my own template, drill new holes and successfully install the lock. WHY YALE does not seem to be aware of this important problem which only damages their reputation and annoys customers is a mystery. DO they ever check the instructions and those vitally important installation drawings? --------- IF you do manage to get this product installed without damaging your door - I do recommend the lock itself. -- But why only 2 keys with such an expensive lock? - not expensive to get a third cut but very inconvenient.
