It is robust and has good quality all stainless steel construction. It was good enough that I wanted a second one for the second shelf in my oven. I do this because the oven racks are too large to soak in the sink and/or to fit in the dishwasher, whereas this rack fits into the sink and the dishwasher. The very end of one side of the grid is slightly larger. **Q: what is the exact width & length of the rack.** A: The question is "EXACT" measurements, so please don't answer if you either "won't" measure or are "not capable" of measuring accurately. The 12" x 17" is a standard advertising size. Since no one wants to measure, the product information states "Product Dimensions:16.77 x 0.6 x 11.69 inches."
