You MUST have one of these carriers as this will not work with any other (at least not the one I had!) There are 5 main compartments. The largest fits a set of clothes and lunch including a small towel. You can get size 12 shoes into the folding paniers, although this is a tight fit. You then has an extra pocket on the lid of the bag (plus a webbing compartment underneath this that holds the shoulder strap (took me a while to find that). There is also a small pocket on the rear of the carrier that will hold a flexible bike lock or bike tools. Safety is enhanced with reflective strips. After 3 weeks of use I do like this bag. At first I had a bit of trouble mounting the bike as the bag comes quite high and my leg was getting caught when I swung it over the saddle. However my hips have adjusted and now don't have trouble. Added bonus, I am now more flexible than I was ! The downsides, apart from catching your leg, after cycling back from work on a rainy day, mud and watch got into the locking catch on the back and despite running water through it, it is now stiff and hard to use, I do have mudguards but as I have suspension on the front of my bike couldn't use fully stayed mudguards so the rear guard ends at the same point at the rear catch, hence it getting covered in mud. This won't be a problem for more sensible mud guards! The zip for the main compartment sometimes gets snagged on the lining material. They are quality zips so no harm is done, but this is very annoying. There are lots of zips. I very often open the wrong zip. Anyone used to stay dry coats probably won't have this problem! Overall despite the niggles this is a quality piece of kit. I am very glad to be free of my rucksack. Makes peddling to work a lot more comfortable. I'm adding to this review several months later. I am even more impressed with this pack months later. Now done 1000 miles with it. It has not fallen off once and is as good as when I first brought it, except that the material has relaxed inside the bag meaning it no longer gets caught in the zips. I have purchased an Ibera rain cover (9.99!) and cycled in some heavy rain for 45 minutes without anything getting wet!. Changed from 4 to 5 stars. Review: but is well made and easy to use - I have been using this rack pack now for a few weeks fitting on a compatible Ibera rack - I chose this over the other model that comes with a universal rack mount, because people complained in that one's reviews that it fell off. Not this one - the quick-release mechanism holds it securely onto the rack, and it is so convenient to carry the whole bag into the office etc. I have not used it in extensive rain, but seems at least showerproof. It works so well for me that I bought a spare - one of those products that I will regret in years to come if it is not available anymore. I have bike commuted for over 40 years mainly using a backpack, but using this rack pack is so liberating! The main compartment with top pocket is big enough for my daily commute to work, carrying spare clothes, lunch, cable lock, etc. When I go lunchtime shopping, the extending side pockets are really handy. The empty pack with compatible Ibera rack add about 2 kg weight to my bike, but is well made and easy to use! ## Features - KEEPS YOUR ESSENTIALS ORGANIZED: Bike bag offers 17-23L of versatile space with main compartment, mesh pocket, rear & side pockets and fold-out panniers - perfect bike bags for bicycles for commuting, groceries or touring. - EXPANDABLE SIDE PANNIERS & TOP POUCH: Unfold side panniers for more room, use bungee cords on the top pouch for extra gear - perfect bike rack bag for flexible storage needs. - EFFORTLESS MOUNTING - ONLY FOR IBERA RACKS: Smart clip-on system fits Ibera racks (IB-RA1–RA5, RA11, RA15, RA16) - this bike bags for bicycles rear rack attaches in seconds without straps or tools. - PROTECTS WHAT MATTERS: With a hard base, padded body and 360Β° reflective trim, this panniers bike bags keeps your gear safe and you visible in traffic. - CARRY ANYWHERE COMFORTABLY: Detachable shoulder strap and hand strap make this bike panniers easy to carry when shopping, commuting or heading to school or work. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00EOB89JA | | Automotive Fit Type | Universal Fit | | Best Sellers Rank | 707,323 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) 1,441 in Cycling Panniers & Rack Trunks | | Brand | Ibera | | Brand Name | Ibera | | Capacity | 23 litres | | Closure Type | Zipper | | Colour | Black | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Bicycle | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 567 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00852664525692 | | Handle Type | Web Handle | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 38.1L x 22.6W x 29H centimetres | | Item Type Name | Bike Trunk Bag | | Manufacturer | Ibera | | Manufacturer Part Number | IB-BA14 | | Material | Nylon | | Material Type | Nylon | | Model Number | IB-BA14 | | Mounting Type | Rack Mount | | Number of Compartments | 5 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Pattern | Solid | | Pocket Description | Zipper | | Product dimensions | 38.1L x 22.6W x 29H centimetres | | Shell Type | Hard | | Size | One Size | | Strap Type | Removable | | Style Name | Pakrak: Expandable Commuter | | UPC | 852664525692 852664525371 | | Vehicle service type | Bicycle | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Ibera - **Colour:** Black - **Material:** Nylon - **Size:** One Size - **Vehicle service type:** Bicycle ## Images ![Ibera Bike Bag Expandable Commuter 17-23L - Clip-On Bike Rack Bag with Panniers & Strap - Hard Base, Reflective Trim & Taillight Ready - Ideal for Commuting & Touring - PAKRAK ONLY RACKS Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71wsYOrxZpL.jpg) ![Ibera Bike Bag Expandable Commuter 17-23L - Clip-On Bike Rack Bag with Panniers & Strap - Hard Base, Reflective Trim & Taillight Ready - Ideal for Commuting & Touring - PAKRAK ONLY RACKS Black - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71WB0l+3s9L.jpg) ![Ibera Bike Bag Expandable Commuter 17-23L - Clip-On Bike Rack Bag with Panniers & Strap - Hard Base, Reflective Trim & Taillight Ready - Ideal for Commuting & Touring - PAKRAK ONLY RACKS Black - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61eZQ8B-E3L.jpg) ![Ibera Bike Bag Expandable Commuter 17-23L - Clip-On Bike Rack Bag with Panniers & Strap - Hard Base, Reflective Trim & Taillight Ready - Ideal for Commuting & Touring - PAKRAK ONLY RACKS Black - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71bicJtpfML.jpg) ![Ibera Bike Bag Expandable Commuter 17-23L - Clip-On Bike Rack Bag with Panniers & Strap - Hard Base, Reflective Trim & Taillight Ready - Ideal for Commuting & Touring - PAKRAK ONLY RACKS Black - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71vXBAyP6tL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does this bag work with any bike rack or must it be Iberia brand rack** A: It is proprietary to ibera bike racks. Ibera's PakRak Quick-release bag mounting systems are only compatible with Ibera Racks (IB-RA1, IB-RA2, IB-RA3, IB-RA4, IB-RA5, IB-RA11, IB-RA15). **Q: Will this bag fit on a non-ibera rack?** A: The orange clips you see on the bottom are specifically made to clip into features on Ibera racks. That said, you could always bungee it. But there's a lot cheaper ones you could also do that with. **Q: what are the expanded size of the mini panniers?** A: Okay, I just measured. The mini panniers are 10"L x 9.5"W x 2"deep, EACH, but they also bulge out so you can stuff in there. They are not as big as I would have liked, but they do the job if you want to put lunch and riding clothing, even "travel" pants. The trunk itself is quite cavernous, on the other hand. It is 6"W x 12"L x 6"H (starting at 4"H at the seat end). The zipper top expands the "top", not the trunk cargo, with a separate zipper entry from the top and holds a good amount also. I had been using the REI Gotham Rack Trunk. Those panniers are slightly bigger, but the trunk was smaller. **Q: How waterproof is it? With the panniers down are you still able to put side baskets on?** A: I would say water resistant, not water proof. The Ortlieb bags are actually water proof like a riverbag. The mini panniers would hang down into side baskets, but are much smaller than baskets. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent bit of kit. *by S***E on 27 August 2016* This is a great bag that clips quickly and easily into the Ibera luggage carriers. This is a well made and strong bag. I really like it, and it clips on to both my Ibera racks (IB-RA5 and IB-RA1) in a second. The expandable pannier pockets are a great idea for those trips when you buy too much and need the overflow capacity. The only disadvantage with this over most of the others in the Ibera range is it doesn't come with it's own raincover (though the bottom of the bag is waterproof against splatter from below, the top is not). I bought the IB-BA1-RC raincover at the same time (also available at the time from the same Amazon seller) which fits perfectly. It's also nice looking, strong and a well designed item. ## Frequently Bought Together - Ibera 2 in 1 PakRak Commuter Bicycle Trunk Bag with Expandable Panniers, Clip On Quick Release Design and Detachable Shoulder Strap - Ibera Bike Rack - Bicycle Touring Carrier Plus+ for Disc Brake/Non-Disc Brake Mount, Fat Tire Bikes, Frame-Mounted for Heavier Top & Side Loads, Height Adjustable for 26"-29" Frames - Ibera Bicycle Bag PakRak Clip-On Quick-Release All Weather Bike Panniers (Pair), Includes Rain Cover , Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/49615377-ibera-bike-bag-expandable-commuter-17-23l-clip-on-bike](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/49615377-ibera-bike-bag-expandable-commuter-17-23l-clip-on-bike) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
