It feels more like heavy duty shiny cloth vs plastic. It's heavy so you will need 3m hooks for the wall. The middle doesn't have an eyelet so it sags a little but some gluedots helped smooth everything. I was able to steam it slightly to get rid of the majority of the creases and my son had a blast.
