It comes in a million pieces you have to put together, and also has strong little black rubber bands that secure it together. The rubber bands aren't shown in the featured photo on the product listing so it's probably a disappointment to some people who receive it thinking they are getting the one in the photo.It's made of acrylic, and it looks beat up when you first take it out of the package, but it's actually got a film on it that needs to be removed before use. I can imagine if you didn't notice the film, an animal could get choked on it.Although I didn't like the looks of the toy so much, it works great for putting dried fruit in and letting your furry (or feathery) friends get to work on it!
