I mounted a small wooden hanging basket bracket to the side of her bed and hung this lamp and it's perfect, a safe distance from the tank but close enough for a good light/heat aspect. It's set on a timer so helps with morning wake up too, lol, gecko is happy, she has a heat bulb in a cage but this lamp makes a huge difference. Just be careful where you place it as we first put the tank a little far forwards and the heat melted the foam background of the tank, then we moved it a little far back and it started to melt the plastic of the lid. We've got it just right now and no problems at all.
