There is a little bit of a learning curve to get the amount you need right if you use too much your hair will feel horrible, less is more. When brushed through wet hair the smell changes from vanilla to a sort of melted crayon vanilla tinted smell. However when its dry it goes back to a normal nice smell so just be prepared for it to be intense when wet. WIth straight hair it works best with slightly wet hair and a small amount of product combed through.
