It's too professional for my casual use but at least I'm confident it will assist in making the best of my projects. Review: Not great for uk - Very pricey, a bit fiddly to set up and it still has alot of play in the tracks. Probably designed for their kit with slightly different measurements. I’ll need to adapt it to get it to work to the fine tolerances it’s supposedly capable of. Took a while to arrive from the USA too. I own a 1000SE and unfortunately also purchased three, count 'em three of the 1000HD models before finding out about their very serious weaknesses. The SE model seems to be much more robust and better built. The HD model angle arc's are constructed of extremely soft material and the pointer that selects the setting is also very soft. The slightest bump of either distorts both the pointer and bends the notches of the arc together and all accuracy is gone. IF I send my bad ones in for repair I will ask that they be converted to the SE model so that they remain useful. The HD looks great but for any use I might have, the SE is infinitely better and can stand up to the normal bumps and accidents that occur in any shop, especially if more than one person uses the unit. **Q: Does the front of the miter rail allow the addition of a wood miter face. I see it has a slot. Not a T slot?** A: Comes with an MDF face thats held on with a couple of t-slot nuts and allen head screws. I made copies of the original face from 1/2" MDF. No problems. **Q: Will this fit an old Rockwell Delta with cast iron table?** A: Yes it will,I use it on an old craftsman cast iron and it works great.
