If you shut off your ac when it is humid, the adhesive may release on one side. We found that reinforcing with weather seal tape addressed the issue. It gives enough extra that you can easily fit it in a window. I recommend installing from top to bottom and on the straightest part of your window first. It is not hard to install, but it depends on your ability to peel carefully and how well you have cleaned and prepared the area. It did a good job of keeping the heat out, but I recommend also purchasing an insulating sleeve for the AC unit inside to get the full benefit. It is the same thickness aso one of those stuff in a tiny pouch windbreakers. So it's thin, but does what it needs to do.
