The only negative thing about it is just the cleaning process of the plates is a little bit of a pain. I think the designs are etched so well, some of the edges are a little sharp, so when I try to use a cotton ball with the acetone or a tissue, it seems to catch or shred them a little, lol. But as long as I can clean them, it's not too big of a deal, I'm not taking the rating down for that, just wanted to warn people about it. I'm not sure what else to use to clean them honestly, but right now I'm pleased with this order & would recommend these. At the least, the acetone will leave tiny pits in the silicone. At the worst, it’ll “melt” it. Either way, your stamper is ruined. It’s best to clean with just a piece of tape. Now, I do use acetone to clean the plate and have had no damage to the plate occur. **Q: How do u clean the stamping plate?** A: Wipe it down with mail polish remover. Sometimes I have to paint it on so gets in the small grooves and then I just wipe it well **Q: How do I get the design to be darker/thicker it’s so light that I can barely see it and there’s spots missing. Used regular/gel/stamping polish** A: Use a gel based nail polish and only lightly swipe over it. Lighter colors don't typically work very well for stamping unless your base coat is really dark like navy or black. As always be quick. **Q: I’m using gel polish but it looks smeared after I stamp..should i use a special stamping polish?** A: They make special gel for stamping, it’s thicker and more opaque. You can just look up stamping gel on Amazon. Plates edges are sharp *by C***S on March 10, 2026* As others have said, the stamper is awful. It began crumbling apart before I had even stamped all 10 of my fingers, when using it for the 1st time. The plates are very shallow, so regular liquid polish didn't work, no matter how quick I was. It just dried too fast. I had to use polish specifically meant for stamping. Nail art pens also worked okay. I knew the plates had sharp edges, and was careful with them, but I still managed to give myself a cut. So if you give this set to a youngster, you may want to tape the edges for safety. I might do that for myself, actually. 😄 The scraper tool was curved up and not at all flat or level, so not super useful. But the main part--the designs etched into the plates--work pretty well and are generally the right size for nails.
