There does seem to be a common issue with the 7900 xt/xtx where a secondary monitor run at 144hz makes the card consume more power on idle, but there are numerous fixes for this. I personally set my second monitor to 120hz. I do have some coil whine which can be common with the higher powered cards. This card is great at stock out of the box, but can be undervolted to perform even better with less voltage and heat.
