The right button turns on the standard stopwatch mode. In order to turn it off, you have to press the right button again. However, if you use the LEFT button to turn it off, you have to press the left button again to start it, then press the right to stop again, then press the left to clear it. Overall, I like this stopwatch because I'm able to time actions on the computer such as computer boot times, strategy game regeneration times, and refresh rates. It's easy to use, so there aren't any crazy functions on it. If you are training for olympic trials or something, you'll probably want to go with something else.
