It rinses clean. It is a good value for the money. It looks beautiful in my walk-in shower. You can soap up your feet and rub them on the mat. Feet washed! For people with mobility issues, this bath mat is for you. I give this mat my highest recommendation. I got the 36X24 size. It lays flat. It did have an odor when I took it out of the package. It went away after a few hours.

A: No.  Although it is very textured to prevent slippage, it is soft and I don't believe it would scratch at all.

A: This isn't a rug. It's a bath mat for use in the tub/shower. It's plastic and non-slip for standing on. It's textured so you can rub your feet on it and get the bottoms really clean. It does rinse out nice and clean as well.

This is really a great bathmat that is really large, sturdy, stays where you put it (there are no suction cups). It is so large that I had to trim it to fit out shower. It was very easy to cut with sharp scissors though I'm not suggesting it's necessary, just be aware that it's quite large. It has an excellent texture so it's quite slip proof, water flows through it extremely well. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
