They're made of the same wavy strands, but there are more strands in the cajon brush. I'd say the cajon brush is 3/4-inch in diameter while the Monster is 1/2-inch (not home atm, so estimating). I use both styles for my cajon, but mostly the cajon brush. The thickness gives you a great bass beat while the monster lets you play a little lighter.
