**Q: Has anybody cut these shorted and if so, how are they cut shorter? Finding the length too long**

You can start by cutting the piece with only two clips. 
Please note the angle of inclination of the expanded hair ends. 
When you trim it, follow this angle as well. That way it will still look natural after trimming. 
Then you can go ahead and try the other hair pieces.
