Banana plugs make it easy to connect speaker wire to your amplifiers/receivers and speakers. Color Coded Conveniently color coded with two different colors for easy polarity identification. Dual Screws 2 set screws secure the speaker wire to the banana plug. Package Includes 6 pairs of banana plugs (12 pieces) Closed Type With the closed type design, the speaker wire enters the banana plug from the rear/back side and is enclosed inside the metal collar. This isolates the wires and keeps them from shorting out.

**Q: Are these o.k. for 13awg wire?**
A: if you look in the description you'll see ( WORKS WITH MULTIPLE SIZES OF SPEAKER WIRE Compatible with 12AWG to 18AWG speaker wire ) so i think so

**Q: are they 3.5 mm**
A: They are standard size plugs. You will struggle to attach larger gauge cable. As the retaining screws have to be tighten all the way in .

**Q: Are these plugs meant to be very tight fitting? I assumed this was the standard size and it's the first time I've connected speakers this way.**
A: do you mean the cover over the screws in the connector or the plug into its socket?  i found the cover rather tight, and you have to make suree the sdcrews are tight in; if you do, then the cover fits nicely.  That's the trick, but it took me a couple of gos to realise.  In terms of fitting into the socket, they seem normal to me.  Hope that helps.

**Q: Can the supplier or manufacturer clarify the size of these banana plugs. Are these standard banana plugs that fit into 4mm sockets or not??**
A: I'm not the manufacturer, just a user but I can say these plugs were a perfect fit in the terminals of both my speakers and my amplifier.

I bought 6 pairs of these banana plugs and I'm so pleased with them! They are the standard UK size needed for speaker to amp connections etc. The quality is outstanding. Nicely packaged too. I love the way the outer casing is screwed on - no having to remember to place the casing on the cable first :-) Each have 2 grub high quality screws to hold the conductor extremely well. I didn't have any missing screws! They have just the right amount of spring to hold well in any standard socket/hole. I had to remove the little plastic caps from my amp and speaker connections in order to reveal the banana sockets. I think the price is pretty good for the quality you get - £15 for 12 plugs. Very pleased with my purchase!
