Used this with my hammer and boom! Off the fan clutch goes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by B***Y on 29 August 2024* I have a 2004.5 GMC Sierra Duramax. I have a shade tree mechanic that is quite good. We bought a special 1 7/8 inch wrench from O'reilly's for almost $50 to knock the fan clutch nut loose. Autozone had nothing. I watched all sorts of videos of how to stop the water pump from turning. He tried everything he would imagine and none of the special tricks worked. I finally saw a video on this tool and ordered it. I tried to put it in my hand chisel impact gun but it was too big by a couple of thousandths. I took a fiber abrasive wheel on an angle grinder and removed all the paint from the end that goes into the gun and had a perfect fit. I put it on the fan clutch nut and pulled the trigger with nothing to hold the water pump from turning but the serpentine belt. In less than 5 seconds the very stubborn nut was free. I was totally amazed. I saw reviews showing the impact shaft damaged. To me it is well built and I cannot understand how to break it when using it as it is designed to work. I saw one review where the fork end came off. That would not be a problem for a welder with a wire feed to put it back on even stronger. I simply cannot figure out a way to break it using it as it is designed to be used.
