Because fungus gnats are soil based, and this is designed to dissolve slowly in water, you can either add it into water that you use for watering or place on top of soil. For either option, I would break it up first into far smaller pieces, or if adding to water, let it stand over-night before watering. And I always used far more than recommended amount for fungus gnats.. **Q: Is this product best for ponds, or soil?** A: Ponds and water features **Q: Is this safe to use in a large chlorinated paddling pool?** A: It won't work in chlorinated water, because the chlorine will kill the bacteria before the mosquito larvae can eat them **Q: Only 4% of ingredients are shown. 97% of the ingredients are listed as 'other ingredients'. Summit, for safety what are these unlisted ingredients?** A: Don’t know as I never used the product and had to return it due to high cost ## Frequently Bought Together - Summit 116-12 Quick Kill Mosquito - Summit...responsible solutions 110-12 Mosquito Dunks, 6-Pack - Cleanuper 58 Pcs Flying Insect Traps for Plants,Indoors, Outdoors, Kitchen, Office, Yellow Sticky Traps for Fungus Gnat, Fly and Flying Insects, Non-Toxic & Odorless, Kid & Pet Safe, Economic Pack --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/50099595-116-12-quick-kill-mosquito-bits-8-ounce](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/50099595-116-12-quick-kill-mosquito-bits-8-ounce) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-28*
