I am a woman's 8.5 (perfect fit) for a sandal, a womans 10 western boot and a womans 9 in a sneaker because I have a wide foot. I wear a men's 7 (perfect fit) sneaker but have worn a mens 8 wide and snuggled up the laces with an insole inserted. For this experiment with my first pair of toe shoes, the V run retro, I ordered the 7.5-8 option and it fit perfectly in length and width with no room to spare. All of my toes feel comfortable in the shoe except for my big toes which are still growing toenails after losing them during a hiking expedition. It's not the shoes fault that my half grown big toenails are tender when fitted in such a perfect fitting toe shoe. Other than that, they feel perfect. I will wear them around the house to get used to them and when it feels like I can, I will venture out in them. I'm keeping them. I have no intention of returning them and will be interested to see how long their workmanship will last. 1 year later I had to order a size larger which was the 8-8.5 option for the best fit. The grip was exactly what I needed. The barefoot aspect gave me agility. They work great in the water and didnt aggravate when walking in them wet after a save. They dried in the sun well enough but I wouldn't call them "quick drying". I prefer wearing toe socks with them (low ankle) for maximum comfort. They are not for gravel or rough terrain with stickers, glass or anything you wouldn't want to step on barefoot. They are not for that kind of use, but they are great for barefoot situations when you need more grip like wearing a strong rubber sock I tripped while climbing over a large rock and hurt my toe as if wearing nothing at all so don't expect protection in these shoes. Just traction. Nothing more. Review: Like shoes and socks - I love them my toes love them my back loves them. This rubber is super thick I mean super and no matter what I step on I don’t have to worry about it anymore. I have a neurological condition and I have epilepsy/seizures and usually crash into things on accident or whatever. The slip resistance helps me not eat it on my face and embarrass myself. The quality is great I have gone in the water and all over even driving and they are a must have! Now the only thing that almost made me not but them was the price but after wearing them everywhere for a while man I get all the value for my money with these 😂 they just are not your kuru sandal it takes some getting used to because they help with training like foot strengthening.
