It was SOOOO NASTY it smelled like A pile of rotten dead fish had been in there for a year. That is actually a nice way to describe it, it was abhorrent. I wouldn’t have entertained trying to fix it but my fridge didn’t fit in the space & to buy one this size would have cost 3x a normal fridge which was asinine. Literally NOTHING worked, disinfected & washed out w everything possible, tore entire fridge apart, cleaned all of it, bought all new styrofoam lining replacement between the plastic & the outer shell, I tried plastic dishes the entire width of the fridge filled with baking soda to the rim, I tried name brand essential oils to kill odor, even the blends specifically for that, vinegar, literally everything, I bought all sorts of stuff, nothing worked. I bought one of these eggs, yellow to be precise lol, within a few days to a week literally ZERO ODOR. I’ve left the egg in the fridge for 1 1/2 years & still no odor. I would have thrown the fridge away if not for this egg. Literally I’d have my friends open & sniff it & they would genuinely gag. Hahaha!!! They all said throw it out can’t be fixed. Well, thanks to an $8 egg, it’s fixed. I just bought a 3 pack & stuck one in a coat closet that has a cat litter box odor I can’t get rid of, nothing helped, tried the same stuff, even letting bleach soak into the grout & cleaning entire closet out doesn’t help. So now there’s a little egg in it. Lol We’ll see how it goes! I wasn’t happy spending $8 but the value in what it saved me is awesome! None of my friends can believe I was able to salvage the fridge, esp due to a little egg.
