They are being used as part of a Dolby Atmos 5.2.1 configuration. One pair are used for the rears, while the other pair are ceiling mounted to complete the Atmos arrangement. I find them to be perfectly adequate. They have no bass but that's the job of the fronts and subwoofer anyway. I would definitely recommend them. Clarity, volume and now hearing sounds/effects I didn’t before *by T***D on 21 February 2020* I was a little dubious that these would be any good despite the positive reviews. I must say, wow. For such a reasonably priced pair of speakers, these sound better than my older, much pricier Mordaunt Short surround front speakers. I would add these are being used with a Yamaha arc-375 Amp and paired with a decent subwoofer and centre speaker - they provide amazing dialogue clarity and music clarity. So good I’ve just ordered another pair to replace the rear speakers in my setup! In addition, per another very helpful review, these are in fact better than advertised - they have been upgraded from 30/60 watt tweeter/driver to 40/80 and the logo is much more subtle than the photo in description! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ideal for Atmos and DTSX *by C***S on 6 June 2021* I bought these to use as front height/presence speakers with my Yamaha rxv 685 dolby atmos receiver.I mounted them high on the wall above my main speakers with matching white speaker cable.They look good and unobtrusive, well made with good strong spring loaded terminals.Sound quality is good, there is little low frequency and it cuts off at 100hrtz but this is OK as atmos speakers, sensitivity is good at 89db for 1 watt.These are a much better option than upfiring speakers, they can also be used as rear surrounds and even front speakers if you're on a tight budget? But you will need a subwoofer to go with them for that.Highly recommended ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value for Surround or Height channels! *by M***L on 6 January 2023* Unlike others are saying, I only got 60W as advertised NOT 80W. Even so these are great value speakers if you want to do a surround sound or Dolby Atmos setup on a budget. Especially if space is at a premium when you want speakers in a small room.Well put together with a reasonable weight to them, while not being too heavy they can easily be mounted on to a wall or small mounting brackets. They hang from the wall/bracket having a keyhole on the back of the speaker. I found some inexpensive deleyCON brackets which would let me angle the speakers to my listening position and they hold in place well.Sound quality is surprisingly good, especially as the speakers are quite slim! However they bottom out at 100Hz so lack bass, providing you have a subwoofer in your setup to make up for that then you should be happy with the sound. If you don't have a sub, then you will most likely notice the difference in sound from your front speakers and these as surrounds, which can be jarring.For the price it's hard not to love these little speakers.
