So when we got back we looked at ways of recreating the dish at home. I originally purchased a proper Thai bamboo steamer with the large aluminium pot for the water and it was just too large and cumbersome to have in the flat.We already had a rice steamer multi cooker thing and I stumbled across this bamboo steamer which fits inside it to make sticky rice.It's brilliant! Ideal size for approx 8 portions of sticky rice, possibly more, and once lined with some muslin, you can lift the rice out easily once it's done.
