With it's "Store Anywhere" design, the EmerLite is a water activated emergency light. This device is environmentally friendly and utilizes a water activated magnesium-oxide battery. It can provide continuous light for up to 72 hours as long as water is added once a day. Unlike candles, the EmerLite lasts longer, is safer and easier to use. It also works under water. It can be stored for up to 10 years with degradation. ONCE ACTIVATED, THE LIGHT CANNOT BE TURNED OF. IT IS MADE FOR ONE TIME USE ONLY.

Review: Fantastic little one time use emergency light. - I bought one of these little emergency lights to test and make a video for my YouTube channel (Vroom Box) with little to no expectations of it working for more than a few hours despite the 72 hour battery life claims on the package. Was I ever surprised! They contain a small magnesium oxide battery that is water activated and must have fresh water added every 24 hours. At 4:30 am cst I removed it from the packaging, peeled off the plastic shrink wrap and added a tiny amount of water to the battery and it came on instantly. The 3 LEDs lit up with a clear white light that was strong enough to navigate a blacked out house. 24 hours later, just as the instructions said, I added water again and the light went out. Honestly I wasn’t expecting much so I wasn’t disappointed... moments later it came in again, shining just as brightly as it had previously. 24 hours later, same thing. Add water, wait a minute and it was still going. I’ve done this for SIX DAYS now with only a small loss of intensity of light. SIX DAYS on a 3 day light! These are a disposable one-time-use light that can not be turned off. At such a low price and a 10 year shelf life I highly recommend keeping a few of these around for emergencies! No need to worry about having fresh batteries or any maintenance while storing. Just unwrap, put a little water in the opening on the end (every 24 hours) and let there be light. I can not recommend this strongly enough. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Nor will you find a better no maintenance emergency light at this price. I’ve already ordered more for my home and will probably order a couple dozen more for camping and to give to family and friends. The photos attached were each taken a day apart. The last one was taken minutes before I wrote this review.
Review: One time use hopefully it works when needed - I don't even know if it works. It's a one time deal then you toss it. Kinda disappoint in that fact.
