Review: Simple and well made - Simple and well made. Worked really well re-seating my Deva kitchen taps, no more drips.
Review: Reasonable tool. Cutters could be a bit sharper. - This is a decent enough tool and will get the job of reseating your tap done OK. It comes with a decent range of plastic threads to fit different tap sizes, these work well enough with a bit of care. There are also three cutters supplied. Perhaps my tap seat was pretty far gone but personally I found they made pretty hard work of restoring my tap seat to good order, more like 30 turns than six. After quite a bit of work and a new washer my tap did not drip so it has done the job. For occasional use this is OK but I'm sure regular users will pay a bit more to get something a little better.

**Q: Hi. It looks like this is screwed into the spout but my tap has no thread. Will this item work. Thanks**
A: No it is not screwed into the spout. First turn off the water at the mains or isolation valve near the tap. Unscrew the head off the tap, this is the thread you use to attach the reseating tool. Turning the knob on the tool whilst pressing down will grind away the corroded seat where the tap washer sits leaving a nice flat seat. It works very well and quite easy once you figure it out.

**Q: Does it fit 1/2-inch bsp thread tap?**
A: Yes fits 1/2” and 3/4” BSP thread tap. Basin and bath taps.

**Q: Will this work for 3/8 tap washers**
A: It says that it's for 1/2 and 3/4 inch taps, I don't know if it will fit a 3/8 inch tap, probably not.

**Q: Does this work for garden taps?**
A: If your tap falls into these fittings,  Fits BS5412 & BS1010 1/2in and 3/4in taps.
Complete with :-
17, 19 25mm (11/16in 3/4in 1in) Flat Cutters and two double ended plastic bushes.
If the tap seat is cracked a new tap is the easiest way to fix.

This was my first attempt at reseating a tap and this tool did the job brilliantly. Easy to use, you just cannot go wrong with this reseater and saves you money on having to get someone in to do it for you. Just take your time and it should do the job.
