You have to take acount for tent size, twnt material and outdoor temperature. I personally have used it in 0°F in a non insulated hot tent and was about to get the inside tent to about 50°F. Another time it was around 25° but inside the tent was in the 60's. I've been in heavy rain and snow with no issues. Tomount is a Japanese brand and when I go to their website (which is in Japanese only), the product page gets translated "Comes from Japan" by the browser translation. And Japan does also have a very respectable foundry industry to coincide with the manufacturing industry there. There are no markings on my stove that i can find to verify but it stands to reason this stove is made in Japan. It would be nice if the vender would confirm this. **Q: What is the diameter of the chimney pipe? Can segmented chimney pipes be used with this unit?
