I don't feel the need for any break in period. As far as utility goes I have high arches so going long in a run the outside crescents of my feet would be the first to be sore. Now it feels like I have TOTAL contact with the ground at all time. It's made my shoes super stable and I hope to see increases in speed and distance from using this. VERY happy with this. It feels like being much younger as a runner. Hopefully the lack of stress on my outside feet will go up through my legs and make running more comfortable and productive in all areas. But wow, these are AWESOME! EDIT: Had to take a star off because they do not fit the Adidas Evo SL at all! You might have to go a size and a half up for that to work. Major bummer. Superblast 2 it works fantastically.
