The original seal was at its end and was dozed and had no sponginess left in it. I cut out the bottom part (which is less than 1 metre) and replaced it with the new gasket seal. Fitted perfectly with a bit of an overhang so that it seals properly. Yes it takes a little while to put in. About 3 minutes!!!! I used a small flat head screwdriver to push the small lip into the seal holder. You need to take care when doing this. Obviously it will take a while to put it in as it needs to be a snug fit to avoid water getting through. Will purchase another 5 or 6 metres to change the whole door seal at some stage but it keeps the water out now so no real hurry to do this . Good product. Easy to fit, starting at the top corner I just pushed it into the groove and worked my way round the frame.
