CO2 ok? Any recommendations on < $1,000** A: I have a Sculpfun S6 Pro diode laser engraver rated at 5.5 watts. I bought the black anodized card blanks and tried various engraver settings. Full power at 500 mm/min works great at anything better than 8 lines per mm. 1,000 mm/min isn't too bad but does not fully clear the anodizing ... you can see a bit of residual haze. 500 mm/min definitely removes all of it. The non-engraved anodizing is VERY secure and very difficult to scratch. I was very impressed. **Q: I have a 50w CO2 laser, would this work to etch the coating/paint?** A: Yes, if you set the power as low as possible. A 50W CO2 laser can probably cut all the way through 1/16 inch aluminum. **Q: which alloy is this card made of?** A: ALLOYminum…😬 **Q: I have a 45 watt Glowforge Pro Laser, will that engrave on these well?** A: I'm sure it will.
