If you've been given a decent digital camera, say a DSLR or bridge camera, for xmas and are left feeling a little overwhelmed by it all, then this book is great for underwhelming you! Best described as concise and informative, the author has managed to bring clarity to a very complex subject (and as a writer who works in the technology field I can appreciate that is no easy task). That the chapters are tightly written is a good thing, the reader never feels like they are drowning in too much information. Maybe the reach of the book is a little ambitious, covering everything from what the buttons and dials on your camera do right through to making money from your pictures and protecting copyright.
