The menthol is certainly really nice, providing a wonderful cooling effect and relief from hot, itchy scalp. It's tingly, and I love it. The scent of the shampoo is great--it's mild and not unpleasant, nothing overpoweringly fake, no strong artificial smelling perfumes added--a very gender-neutral scent. It may seem expensive for what looks like a small bottle, but a little goes a long way.
